I’m ready to Eat, Pray, and Love

Friday, August 13th, 2010

I am just ecstatic that this movie is releasing this weekend! I read the book about two months ago and I fell in love with its meaning.  The author is so honest and offers a great pace for her readers…I was just drawn into her words and experiences.  Now, I’m able to relive my enchantment by going to the theatres this weekend–pure joy along w/a Diet Coke and greasy “butter” popcorn!

Obviously, I’m sure to inspired by some of the wardrobe from Mrs. Julia, so here are some beautiful items I came upon…aren’t these just beautiful!?

Green Coin Pearl drops from Bali

Small Vintage Ornate Standing Frame from Italy

Red leather wrap prayer beaded bracelet from India

Dress Up Your Plain White Tee

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

Looking for a cute way to add some oomph to your casual wear while running errands?  I usually throw on a chic necklace or fun lightweight scarf to bring some dimension and color to my plain tees or shift dresses.  Adding fun accessories that have fringe, beaded detailing, or piling on multi-layered jewelry break up the monotony of your look giving a chic yet unfussy style.

Chic Clothes For Your Sweet Ones!

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

I tried really hard to find some chic and unique options for boys…well there were only about two that I was able to pull from the online racks that were somewhat interesting.  So…I’m focusing on sweet little girls and let’s be honest, there are many more cute options!  Obviously my love of ruffles and flowers has prevailed while browsing.  How adorable is that cupcake tee? I’d let my future little one wear it to every bday party she attended!

I also love all the tutus that kept popping up in my online racks.  This one below is one of my favs–I adore the flower petals and dotted ribbons.  Do you ever get the feeling that you could make something you find while shopping?

Beary Basics Pink and Blue Flower Tutu $38

I searched around on YouTube and found a cute and easy tutorial for making Tutus–how quick & simple is that?! I think this would make a perfect birthday or Christmas gift for both my little Goddaughter and future niece!  I’d probably want to chic it up by hand sewing on a few crystals and flowers too!

Summer Gardens…

Friday, June 25th, 2010

Since moving from my apartment in the heart of SoHo to the suburbs of San Francisco, I’ve decided to embrace my surroundings. About a month ago, I purchased a tomato plant at my local nursery along with a couple gorgeous geranium blooms. I spent about an hour there thoroughly going over the “how-to care” process for these plants so that I could ensure I was somewhat successful at this “green thumb” attempt. I must say that my geraniums have doubled in blooms (with the help of some Miracle Grow—I’m from the south, not California where they care about all this “organic” stuff). Also, my tomato plant has outgrown its cage and I’ve plucked my first red fruit last week! (I’ll have to share some photos soon!) So far, this gardening thing isn’t too hard and I still want to grow some herbs, maybe cilantro and basil…I thought I’d share some garden images that keep me inspired…

Also, I wanted to announce the winner of my Oh Sweet Joy Rosette Necklace Giveaway!

Congrats to: Ashlee, lucky number 54 out of 65 total entries!

Check out her gorgeous blog too!

Memorial Weekend Holiday Wear…Courtesy Of Etsy!!!

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

Just as easy as it is to slip on a preppy Lilly Pulitzer dress or a chic Tory Burch tunic, it’s even more unique to wear a one-of-a-kind frock.  Etsy is a great spot to discover new accessories, a great beach bag, or that perfect dress for a casual cookout…really, there’s nothing this site’s sellers haven’t thought of!  I feel like Etsy is my virtual open-air market–the boho kind that always shop at while traveling abroad!  Here are a few items that would be perfect for the Memorial Weekend Holiday, whether you’re heading to the lake or noshing at a family barbeque. (All images link you directly to the item’s page on Etsy!)

Mr. Dillon Horseshoe Set $18
